Members of Camp 507 visited the Chattooga County Historical Society on Sunday, April 19th. Commander Dale Mitchell presented the topic for the evening as "Yankees in Trion," or better know as "The Batte of Trion Factory."

Cemeteries included in the work were the Summerville cemetery the Subligna Methodist Church cemetery, the Anderson/Gray cemetery, the James Lawrence cemetery, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery, the Shropshire-White cemetery, the Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery, the Old Bethlehem Bapt. cemetery, and the Bethel Presbyterian Church cemetery. Other cemeteries were decorated earlier in the week.
On Friday, April 3rd, Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters signed a proclamation declaring April to be Confederate History and Heritage Month in Chattooga County and April 26th to be observed locally as Confederate Memorial Day. Present for the signing ceremony were Chattooga Camp 507 adjutant Stan Nix, Commissioner Winters, and Camp 507 commander Dale Mitchell.
